3 Mug Cake Recipes You Can Make In Minutes

Mug Cake

Baking is easy when it only takes a few minutes. Mug cakes are fun and a quick solution to satisfy a sweet craving. Here are three delicious recipes.

Mocha Mug Cake

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp All-purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Instant Coffee Powder
  • 2 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (100% cocoa)
  • 2 to 3 tbsp Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Vanilla Extract

Method:

Mix all-purpose flour, coffee powder, powdered sugar and baking powder in a mixing bowl until mixed well. Add remaining wet ingredients (oil, egg, milk and vanilla extract) and mix until all ingredients are combined. Transfer mixture into a lightly greased mug and microwave on full power for approximately 90 seconds being careful not too overcook. Enjoy!

Nutella Mug Cake

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp Self-rising Flour
  • 4 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (100% cocoa)
  • 3 tbsp Nutella (alternatively another chocolate spread)
  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Method:

Mix all ingredients in a full size mug, whisking with a fork until mixture becomes smooth. Microwave on full power for 1.5 to 3 minutes. Enjoy!

Banana Mug Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp Melted Butter or flavourless oil
  • 1 Egg (lightly beaten)
  • 1 Ripe Banana (masehd)
  • 3 tbsp Plain Flour
  • 3 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Organic Cocoa Nibs
  • 1 scoop of coffe ice cream to serve

Method:

Melt butter in mug. Add egg and milk, beating gently with a fork until combined. Add in the mashed banana and mix thoroughly. Beat in the dry ingredients until combined. Microwave on medium heat for approximately 1 minute. Cake should be slightly gooey. Enjoy!
