Kinder chocolate is a universal favorite and it also has a special place in our home. Even as adults we like to indulge in it frequently and when kids birthday parties are celebrated then Kinder chocolate makes a frequent appearance on cakes or desserts. We are extremely happy that we have found this Easter bunny recipe at our grocery store. What a fun little treat for the holidays!
Ingredients for 12 pieces:
- 1 packet Yeast
- 200 ml / 6.76 oz Warm Water
- 2 tbsp. Sugar
- 2 tbsp. Butter
- 1 Egg (medium size)
- 1 tsp. Table Salt
- 300 g / 2 3/8 cups Flour
- 12 Kinder Chocolate Sticks
- Food Coloring
Other Items Needed:
- Sunflower Oil
- Tooth Pick
- Penne Pasta
Method:
Mix lukewarm water with yeast and sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes. Slowly add egg, salt, butter and flour. Mix all ingredients with a hand-held mixer until fully combined. The texture of the dough should be smooth. Grease a bowl with sunflower oil and place the dough into the bowl. Cover the bowl with a tea towel and let it rise at a warm place for 1 hour. The dough should be double in size.
Knead the dough by hand to remove air. Separate the dough into 12 even pieces. Then form the Easter bunnies one by one. Take two dough balls for the head and body. Flatten the body slightly and combine with head. Make four dough rolls for the bunny ears and arms. Form two little dough balls for the feet and attach them to the body. Use the two Penne pasta noodles as a placeholder for the arms. You will insert the Kinder chocolate stick between them once the Easter bunnies are baked.
Pre-heat oven to 180 C / 356 F. Bake Easter bunnies for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Once the bunnies are cold slide the Kinder chocolate stick between there arms and paint the bunny face on it with a tooth pick and the food coloring. Happy Easter!
